I started The Behavior Station® platform to distribute and disseminate accurate information about behavior analysis. After graduating from Florida International University (FIU) Honors College in 2012, and Florida State University (FSU) in 2014, I became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
As a BCBA, I provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. ABA seems to still be widely unknown or misunderstood. My goal with The Behavior Station® platform is to change that.
For the 3rd consecutive year, I participated in FIU’s Panther Alumni Week (PAW). This year, I participated as a PAW Advocate, and I had the privilege and honor of taking over FIU’s official Snapchat account for the first day of PAW. The purpose of this video was to show FIU students, alumni, and other FIUsnap followers what my job is like. This aligned perfectly with my personal, and The Behavior Station® platform’s, mission to disseminate behavior analysis and ABA.
“Dissemination” means to spread widely. Therefore, dissemination of behavior analysis really means: spreading information widely, to those who are largely unaware of what behavior analysis is. If behavior analysts only talk to each other about behavior analysis, no information is being spread widely.
